Andreplica the Basilica is one of the most important early Christian monuments on the territory of Abkhazia. The Basilica is located in the resort village of Cantrips near Gagra, on the sea shore, at the mouth of the mountain river. Another name for the Basilica - Khashupse.

According to historical documents, in the VI-VII centuries in the composition Abazsgskogo Archdiocese included the following departments: Andreplica, Pitsunda, Sebastopol, Anakopia, Tsebelda and Genessa. The most famous cathedrals of that time was Andreplica Basilica and Dranda Cathedral.

Located in the centre of the village Andreplica Basilica was built around the VI-article VIII Tsandripshskaya Basilica built of stone rough treatment. In the IX-Xth century the Basilica was subjected to a thorough overhaul. All the architectural features of the temple show the high skill of the architects. The building of the Basilica was of superior acoustic properties - the construction of a Church within its walls were bricked up pitchers.

Until today in Tsandripshskaya Basilica is well preserved Central apse with the quadrant, the South wall with the adjoining longitudinal space and the Western wall, where the entrance and the window above it. Initially, the Basilica had a wooden floor, but with time it was replaced with stone vaults, as evidenced by the additional built rectangular pillars.
