Haskovski the zoo is located in forest Park, Kenan and is a favorite place of recreation for children and their parents. The history of the zoo began in 1958 by the efforts of Ivan Gospodinov, and in 1977 was selected quite a large area for animals: herbivores, carnivores, primates, rodents and various species of birds. In 2006 was promoted large-scale reconstruction, during which many cells have been renovated, while others are destroyed and rebuilt.

At the beginning of the Park there is a Playground with slides, swings and other amusements for children. The zoo is divided into several sectors. In the first sector are waterfowl. It is a huge cage with two lakes inside. There are Mallard, Peking duck, swans and geese.

In the second sector are rodents, including rabbits, Guinea pigs and nutria. Next is the sector of predatory birds, inhabited by owls, Buzzards and Golden eagles. Nearby visitors can enjoy the sector of small mammals and birds, such as squirrels, badgers, Guinea fowl, peacocks, hens and doves.

On the left side you can see a variety of primates and the sector of big cats in which they live, leopards, spotted cats and lions. Lions are the pride Haskovski zoo, because every year they reproduce. With haskovski lions there is one interesting story: one day, many years ago, hooligans broke the lock on the cage and released the lion. Only a few days later she was found basking in the sun on the roof of the car in the yard of one of houses of the nearby village.

At the zoo Haskovo you can see bears, wolves, foxes and jackals. Last but not the least, the sector includes a variety of herbivores. The sector consists of five cells, arranged in a circle with a common center and dormitory walls. These cells have transitions to medium-sized species of animals could move from room to room. Here visitors can see deer, ROE deer, mouflon, Tibetan Yak, ponies, donkeys and a herd of goats.
