The biggest and the oldest city mosque Izmir - Hisar mosque – was built in the XVI century and was restored several times in the nineteenth century. Gorgeous its interior, in particular, the pulpit and the altar. The dome supports 8 columns located around the perimeter of the prayer hall. Nine small domes covering part of the outbuildings to the main prayer hall, give the building its original appearance.
