In Kemi is Evangelic Lutheran Church, built in neo-Gothic style, designed by Josef stenbäck in 1902. The building, made of red brick, not only attracts the eyes with its beauty, but also roomy enough for up to 1000 people. Large crucifix inside the Church is impressive.

Excellent acoustics allows visitors to fully enjoy a concert of sacred and classical music are held here throughout the year. Outside the Church there is a huge war memorial. The bell tower of the Church is a good landmark for locals and sailors.

In 2003. the Church in Kemi was renovated and opened for parishioners and tourists all year round.
