Monument to loving dogs is an interesting and unique monument, very loved by the locals. The idea of the story of Vladimir Mayakovsky "Sobakina life" about the bestiality of humans and the humanization of animals has become an inspiration for the sculptor Valery bee and gave him the idea to create this unusual sculptural composition.
The great poet Vladimir Mayakovsky made a short visit to Krasnodar in 1926 And it so happened that it was here at the railway station he was bitten by a stray dog. The poet was surprised by the huge number of dogs on the streets, maybe that was the reason for the birth of the famous phrase "It's not a dog in the middle of nowhere, and Sobakina the capital! ". Since that time, with the light hand of the poet, Krasnodar and received the status of "abacking city" or "Sobakina capital".
Inauguration of the monument, which became the new symbol of the city, was held in September 2007, during the celebration of city Day of Krasnodar. The intent of the sculptor couple of dogs dressed in human clothes, met on the first date on this corner of the World and Red, under the building with the clock, and, hand in hand, continued to walk. The origin of this unusual sculpture was made possible thanks to a new project for improvement of the city of Krasnodar. This project, initiated by the city Department of architecture, involves the creation of small sculptures for decorating all Park areas, boulevards and beautiful parks of the capital of Kuban.
