Krasnaya street, Krasnodar is the Central street of the city, which have consolidated the administrative and cultural institutions. Part of it is pedestrian.

Street Red already existed from the moment that was founded Ekaterinodar (now Krasnodar), 1867. The street name is an epithet of the most beautiful streets in the city. The street was renamed several times, but in the end still was returned to its original name. After visiting the Ekaterinodar Nicholas II, the street was named Nicholas Avenue. After the revolution the Soviet government again called her red. In 1949, the street was called by the name of Stalin, and twelve years later - again red.

Ekaterinodar was called "Little Paris", street Red confirmed this epithet by the presence of buildings in the Baroque, art Nouveau and classicism. Exquisite architectural creations, placed along the street, still impress tourists and locals. At the beginning of the street you can see the Alexander Nevsky Cathedral and Catherine's square, where the monument dedicated to the founder of the city - the Queen Catherine. On the other side houses the administrative building with a fountain. It also housed a concert hall, which is owned by the world famous Kuban choir. The premises of the regional scientific library named after Pushkin, is located opposite.
