Polisci Museum is one of the landmark of the town of Berane, which is located in the northeast of the country. The exhibits presented in the Museum were found during various archaeological excavations. It is known that this area was occupied by settlers in 2300-1800 years BC, in the so-called bronze age. This fact explains the variety of exhibits.

Museum exhibits reflect the different eras, clearly showing their shift. Neolithic ceramics is presented in a simple, decorated with ornaments and simple patterns. To further archaeological finds include arrowheads, jewelry, copper and pottery. Since Montenegro has long been under the influence of Greek and Roman conquerors, the result of this was that ancient culture has left a significant imprint on the history of this country.

In the Byzantine period, around the fourth century ad ancient traditions continue to exist, but in a simplified form. In the VII century BC the territory of modern Montenegro began to explore the Slavs. This period represent archaeological exhibits such as: architectural fragments with carved decoration, stone murals and household items.

All new archaeological objects and artifacts that can be found in the excavations near Berane, passed into the possession of Pelimskogo Museum.

In addition, the Museum seeks to participate in modern life of the city. Recently it began to hold the solemn part of the wedding ceremony. This step, as the administration hopes the Museum will contribute to the revival and renewed interest in ancient rituals and culture that will not only attract new tourists, but also locals.
