The archive and Museum of J. S. Bach is located in the house where he once worked and lived himself famous and talented composer Johann Sebastian Bach. In this institution of modernity are engaged in the popularization and preservation of the musical heritage that went public from the creativity of one of the greatest composers of the world.
The house is now the Museum, Bach lived until his death, since 1723. Today visitors can see on 750 sq. m interactive multimedia exhibition dedicated to the great composer. This exhibit is a treasure room, where the original manuscripts and notes, cash box collection, as well as some parts of the body, a custom Bach.
In the Museum visitors can find valuable archives of Bach and numerous personal belongings. Being in this house, it is impossible not to experience the music and atmosphere of antiquity, not to feel the presence of this great talent. Available to the public the Museum was only in 1950, when the moment of death of the famous composer 200 years.
The archive and Museum of J. S. Bach offers to get acquainted with research the life of a musician, his family and, of course, music. It is the largest house of Bach, where is the research library. Since 2008, the archive became part of the University of Leipzig, now it hosts international festivals, performances and conferences. Admirers of the composer can fully enjoy his work and to plunge into the atmosphere of the music with a special audiocount where played the works of Johann Sebastian Bach.
In 2010, the house musician was restored, and it reopened its doors to all fans and lovers of classical music.
