Biological Museum Lucerne is a wonderful place to study the natural history literally to the touch. The history of the Museum started the Kunstkammer and even then, his collection was quite curious. Now in the Museum displays the remains of ancient animals and mannequins of our ancestors and even "Dragonstone", the origin of which the story tells us: he is nothing but frozen fire dragon saliva that live on mount Pilatus.
Forget everything you knew about dusty and boring paleontological museums. Here in Lucerne the history of the ancient world – is a real journey in Jurassic Park, where visitors will see the dinosaurs and other giant reptiles. Another permanent exhibition – "Biology" - talks about the Swiss flora and fauna and you can see a lot of real representatives of the last – in terrariums and aquariums. And for those who like something air – exhibition "the Wonderful world of insects".
If you are traveling with children, Biological Museum must be given not less than couple of hours is hardly enough to get around all the halls, to touch all the exhibits and see at least a few documents about the origin of life on earth, taken as a fascinating film.
Museum square is Catherinec. It is easily reached from the station along the quays Royce (South coast), walk 10 minutes. Landmark - the bridge Spreuerbrucke (second covered wooden bridge from the lake). The biological Museum is adjacent to the white building of the Historical Museum, which is easily recognized by the fresco on the facade.
