The monument to Maxim Gorky in Minsk was established in 1981 in the Park, named after the great Russian writer. Minsk is one of the reading capital of the world, belonged to Maxim Gorky with great reverence. For the creation of the monument was chosen as the best sculptors and architects. Authors are: sculptors A. Zaspitsky, I. Misko, N. Ryzhenkov, architect O. Trofimchuk.

Sculptors have depicted the great writer in the Prime of life, dressed the way he liked – shirt in the shirt and simple pants.
