Vankovich's house – estate of an old noble family, built in the style of classicism in the late seventeenth to the early nineteenth century. The estate is located in the historic center of Minsk on the street International. The house is associated with the life and works of Belarusian artist of portraitist, walenty wankowicz.

Walenty Wilhelm wankowicz was born may 12, 1800. During his short life (the artist lived only 42 years old) he became famous not only in the Russian Empire, but also beyond its borders. His work has been exhibited in the best European salons, including in Paris.

The Vankovich family estate was severely damaged during the years of Soviet power, but, with the beginning of a new time in the history of Belarus and the resurgence of interest in national culture, was reconstructed. The manor house was re-opened on the 200th anniversary since the birth of walenty wankowicz in 2000.

During the reconstruction was fully restored a fence with a gate that separates the estate from the city streets and the Governor's outhouse, from which only the foundations remaining. In this wing are now held chamber concerts, music competitions and other events of cultural life of Minsk.

Near the house-Museum was a sculpture of works by V. I. Slobodchikov "Morning Artist depicting, walenty wankowicz with palette and brush in hand.

In other rooms you can admire the décor and lifestyle of the ancient gentry of the estate – as in the nineteenth century lived Belarusian nobles, what was the decoration of their rooms.
