Moscow drama theatre. A. S. Pushkin is located in the centre of Moscow, Tsvetnoy Boulevard. The theatre was founded in 1950 on the basis of the Chamber theatre, founded in 1914 by Alexander Tairov, along with his wife, Alice UNC. In 1949 Tairov was dismissed, and the theatre closed. From 2001 to 2010, the artistic Director of the Moscow drama theatre n. a. A. S. Pushkin was Roman Kozak – honored artist of Russia, a student of Oleg Efremov. In 2010, after his death, chief Director was appointed Yevgeny Pisarev. He is the chief Director of the theater these days.
