The Museum of architecture is located in an avant-garde building designed by the project M. O. of Angers. Besides the permanent exposition of the Museum organises temporary exhibitions devoted to the architecture of the twentieth century.

It is close to the German film Museum, which houses many documents and objects relating to the history of the film industry. The Museum has its own cinema that shows old rare movies.

The sculpture Museum is located in the House Liebig. Here you can see works from ancient times to mannerism, Baroque and Rococo. Including fine examples of ancient Egyptian art, art of the Renaissance and Neoclassicism.

The art Institute of Städel is named after its founder, banker Johann Friedrich Städel, which in 1815, bequeathed his art collection to the city. The Museum grew at the expense of gifts and various acquisitions. On the first floor of the building house temporary exhibitions of paintings and drawings. The second floor is given over to works of art XIX-XX centuries. The third are the old masters - European painters of the XIV-XVIII centuries, including paintings by Botticelli, Bosch, Jan van Eyck, Jan Vermeer, Rembrandt, Watteau and many other famous artists.
