Assumption Church is located in Pamporovo mountain resort in southern Bulgaria. It was built with funds collected as a result of the television campaign in 1992. To donate money for the construction of a new Church wanted more than 1, 5 thousand Bulgarians. The names of the most generous donors are listed on the type plate in the Church building.

The temple was built high in the mountains recently, and its uniqueness lies in the fact that in its design took into account all the peculiarities of mountain building.

Architectural design of the temple combines ancient traditions and modern trends. So, the Church of the Dormition of the virgin is a Church of cruciform Central-domed type. From three sides of the apse, covered arched roofs. They surround the large semicircular Windows, reaching almost from the floor to the roof. The Central entrance to the building is decorated in the form of a porch with the roof supported on stone columns. Over the porch rises a tower with a dome.

Inside the walls of the building is decorated with frescoes (for example, the image of the virgin surrounded by angels under the dome of the temple). The altar is made of wood and decorated with intricate carvings. Also here there are gold-plated and wooden elements.

Many icons in the Church were donated by the faithful Christians.

The Dormition Church is open and available to visit all the guests to Pamporovo.
