Low massive tower, built in the style of the Vienna secession, is not decorative urban element, created for the amusement of residents and tourists, but quite functional structure: it serves as a reservoir of drinking water. The tower is located on the territory of a local hospital. It was there that it was built in 1906-1907 on the elevation of 233 meters. The architect františek sander has developed a draft water tower made of reinforced concrete. She didn't seem too boring or distracting from the surrounding landscape, he decided to decorate her relief with the inscription: "Water tank of the Royal city of Pardubice", coats of arms of cities and decorative elements resembling organ pipes.
On installation pump water, worked firm antonín Kunz from the Boundary-na moravě. The interior was decorated in art Deco style. In the center of the main hall was placed a cylinder of water, which is supported by rings of metal. Above the tank is a gazebo, where the observation deck. In the beginning of XXI century the tower was repaired, upgraded equipment. It is now used as a backup source of water for the local hospital.
