House Rebrov in Kislovodsk is the oldest building in the city, located near the source of Seltzer. The house was built in 1823 in the classical style is one of the earliest historians of the Caucasus F. A. Rebrov party of the Caucasian wars and faithful ally of the famous Russian General A. P. Yermolov. The author of this project were made by the architect I. Bernardazzi. A. F. Rebrov has played a great role in the history of the Caucasian resorts.

At the time, in addition to A. S. Pushkin (1829), in this house stayed Russian writer Mikhail Lermontov (1837) and the Emperor Alexander II (1850). His fame acquired after the publication of the famous novel "a Hero of our time". Decorated wooden columns two-storey wooden house Rebrov its elegance attracted the attention of all the guests of Kislovodsk. In 1912, in the house Rebrov still stored personal belongings Lermontov: a card table, a sofa and dressing table. At this point in time the sofa and the table included in the Museum exposition.

Near the house the landlord Rebrov, located near Cross hill, until 1804 the river Olkhovka. It was here at the time, according to legend, was the source of Seltzer where Rebrov erected the chapel remained. In the lower garden you can see the preserved ancient stone bath. Here, as before, on the day surface acts acidulous mineral water.

Quite a long time the house was inhabited by numerous inhabitants, with the result that he lost his original form – was removed Central portico with columns, demolished spiral staircase, in addition, the walls of the building were cut new doors and Windows, installed new wall partitions. In 1969, on the facade of the building is a plaque installed in memory of the visit to the house Rebrov Pushkin and Lermontov, unfortunately, the Board is not preserved.

In the late 1980s, the local authorities decided to restore the original appearance of the house and put it in a Museum. However, the house continued to deteriorate and is now in a deplorable condition.
