Castle Cracow was built in the XIII century on the site of an ancient wooden Fort with a defensive purpose. His master Ietrich Grognet kept in the fortress with a large garrison, which could act to protect the Royal castle Tareev nearby.
During the armed clashes the army of king Premysl Otakar II with his opponents – supporters of the family of vítek family castle faithful servants of the Czech ruler, too, was subjected to numerous sieges. In 1631, a powerful castle became the possession of Ian David barina. This peace-loving man looked at the thick walls and water-filled moat. However, the use of water found near the castle he built two mills, which brought in a good income. Being zealous master, Borin has turned the once-legendary fortress in a large farm. Here he worked by the brewery, a smithy, and several craft workshops. The barns were kept herds of goats and cows. In the fields behind the castle began to grow cereals. However, the fortifications were not destroyed and were useful during the Thirty years war.
In XVII-XVIII centuries the castle belonged to the monks, then was abandoned and forgotten. Nowadays the ruins of the castle Cracow only attract tourists.
