A ring of green space around the historic neighborhoods of Pilsen appeared not so long ago: in the early nineteenth century. Then the city Council decided that bulky fortifications surrounding the city centre, already served and is no longer useful. Two row walls were demolished and the moat filled with water, serves as an additional protection of the city, was filled. In this place and appeared parkland, consisting of several gardens, each of which has its own name. Krizik gardens got its name after a famous engineer, a talented inventor, was born here františek Křižík. It was his Singing fountains can be seen on the left Bank of Prague. He is also known for being able to improve the electric tram, making it more convenient.

Walking along the shaded alley of the gardens, you will notice a modest bust Křižík installed near the panel, which indicates his name. Because the gardens are bounded on one side by buildings, and on the other the bustling Avenue, they consist of only a few footpaths, decorated with delicate pavilions and wooden benches. Proud of this recreation area are shallow lagoons, which are home to carp. They can be fed bread, not forgetting to make a wish. Locals believe that it will come true.

Also other local attractions can be noted and an open area of Preluca", which is never empty on the weekend. Usually are performances of folk groups. Also for the youngest audience in Kristovich gardens are fabulous performances.
