Poros town is the capital of the eponymous island located in the southwestern part of the Saronic Gulf off the coast of the Peloponnese 58 km from Piraeus port. The town is built amphitheatrically on the slope of a picturesque green hill. Narrow cobbled streets, where traditional Greek houses coexist with neoclassical buildings, create a special flavor and a cozy atmosphere.
The most famous monument of the city and its symbol is the historic "clock tower" was built in 1927.
