Manor I. Kharitonenko in Sumy is located at the beginning of Trinity street. Its history began in 1860, when the famous sugar manufacturer has acquired land on the banks of the river Psel in place of the confluence of the Bag, where he built a mansion and office of the trading house "Kharitonenko and son. In the office I worked up to 25 clerks, her pride was a large ticket hall and comfortable rooms.

In 1912-1913 P. Kharitonenko capital repairs of buildings, making them even more luxurious and comfortable, equipped with all kinds of communications. Also been converted farm buildings in the courtyard are the stables, glaciers, etc. Improvements were made and the riverside garden. Previously, before the building was occupied by a fountain, which was adorned with the figure of an ancient deity. But to live in a manor P. Kharitonenko did not last long, because in 1914 he died.

After the revolution, in 1919, the building housed the police Department, and after - health resort for children name Kosior. During the war the premises were transferred to the hospital, and at the end of the war, 1947-1952 years the farm would be returned its original function, becoming office management trust. From 1952 to the present day in the manor housed the medical establishment: the office building is the First clinic and Sumy district hospital and in the home - city children's hospital, and later she was transferred to another building, and the building was transferred to the Department of land resources.

In recent decades, the Kharitonenko mansion began to decline. In 2003, the district hospital was evicted from the estate, which after a big reconstruction was planned to create "the Mariinsky Palace of Sumy region". Later the estate was planned to recover and adapt to the needs of the main Department of the national Bank in the Sumy region. Unfortunately, due to lack of funds, the work was suspended.

Now the estate of I. Kharitonenko belongs to the Ukrainian Academy of banking of the NBU, which plans to create a Palace of art and leisure of students.
