Lipsi is a small group of small Islands in the Aegean sea (part of the Dodecanese archipelago, also known as the Southern Sporades). The name "Lipsi" and has the largest and only inhabited island in the group. Among small Greek island of Lipsi, perhaps one of the most famous and visited.

The only settlement of Lipsi is a port town of the same name, situated in a small picturesque Bay. Here you can stay in charming smaller hotels or apartments. There are in the village of great taverns and cafes where you can enjoy local delicacies. By the way, you should definitely try the honey from thyme, cheese, grapes and excellent wine.

Despite the very small area of the island there are many good beaches with crystal clear waters and picturesque bays. The most visited of them lie near the village of Kambos, Elena and Lento. Popular and secluded beaches such as Hohlakoura, Casadia, Turkomania, Monodendri and Platis Gialos.

Lipsi you will find many small churches and monasteries. Among the most interesting churches of the island stands out the Church of Panagia Harou (7-8 century A. D.), in which is kept the miraculous icon of the virgin. You can also visit the Church of Agios Ioannis Theologos (the biggest Church on the island), Church of the virgin, the Church of Agia Nectaria, the Church of St. Nicholas, Church of Elijah the Prophet. Also to the attractions of the island is the cave Ontas.

Due to the large distance from the mainland on Lipsi not too many tourists, so this place is ideal for lovers of quiet and secluded relaxation. Access to the island is very simple, as there are enough regular connections with Piraeus and with the Islands of the Dodecanese. Especially popular island of Lipsi is in August when we celebrate the religious holiday of Panagia Harou (the island's patron Saint) and the wine Festival.
