Slania is a mountain in the Sudetes, Lower Silesia, located 30 km from Wroclaw in southern Poland. This nature reserve lies at the altitude of 718 metres and is covered with forests. On the mountain Slinga built huts and lookout. Mountain Slania is a protected area and is part of the landscape Park of the same name. On the top there is a Church and the ruins of a medieval castle.

In the 7th century BC mountain Slania was considered a sacred place to the pagan tribes of the Lusatian culture. Scientists believe that mentioned in Germanic mythology characters lived in these mountains. Slavic tribes settled here in the 6th century ad. In the tenth century by Mieszko I of the Piast dynasty made Sudetenland, a part of Silesia. In the first half of the 12th century Polish Prince Petr Blascovich founded in the mountains of the Augustinian monastery, which moved to Wroclaw in 1153.

In 1954 Slinga received the status of a landscape reserve which covers an area of 141 hectares.

Due to the proximity of Wroclaw (30 km) and Świdnica (17 km) at the top of many cultural events, especially at Christmas. The array covered an extensive network of pedestrian trails and bikeways. At the top there is a telecommunications mast with a height of 136 meters, barely visible ruins of the castle, the Church of the blessed virgin Mary and an observation deck with stunning views of the Silesian lowland.
