Tour of Ueno Park will lead the guests of the Japanese capital in the national Museum of nature and science, located in the North-Eastern part of the Park. His exhibition includes more than 14 thousand exhibits and talks about the origin of the world in General and the Japanese archipelago in particular, and the changes that have occurred in their history from the time of its establishment until the present day.

The Museum was opened in 1871 and has since changed names several times – it was the Museum of the Ministry of education, and the Tokyo Museum, while in 2007, has not acquired its present name. At the end of the twentieth and the beginning of this century the Museum has undergone modernization. Its main building was declared cultural heritage of the nation, it is now Japanese gallery, and there is also a 3D cinema "Theatre 360". In the new Museum building opened to the global gallery. Before entering the Museum there is a figure of a blue whale in full size.

Six floors Global gallery talk about the evolution of life on earth, the laws of nature, the origin of dinosaurs and species diversity. Separate sections are devoted to the development of science and technology and representatives of the animal world. In the garden, located on the roof of the gallery, there are about 160 species of medicinal and aromatic herbs, and there are sun umbrellas that open up when you got close to them. In the gallery visitors can choose to spend or physical experience to get into interactive forest.

The Japanese gallery is located in the former main building, built in 1930. Shown here, what was the Japanese archipelago during the Glacial period, we can consider the collection of minerals, meteorites, fossils, meet the animals that inhabit the Islands of the archipelago, to find out what were the agricultural implement. A separate section is devoted to the role of rice in Japan.

3D cinema "Theatre 360", which is located in the same building, was donated to the Museum after the end of the international exhibition "Expo-2005", where it was first presented to the visitors of the Japan pavilion. This seamless spherical screen with a diameter of 12, 8 meters. This size was chosen not by chance: this figure is approximately one-millionth part of the diameter of our planet. The number 360 in the theater's name means the viewing angle. The audience in this theater located in the center of the sphere, and its dome is projected films about the origin of the Universe, dinosaurs and continents. Four of them were created by the Museum staff.
