Castle Tulloch Photo: Castle Tulloch

Castle Tulloch – old castle in Dingwall, Scotland. The castle was built by the Normans, and the oldest parts date back to the XII century. For many years he was the family residence of clans Bain – according to surviving documents, they possessed this castle in the sixteenth century. However, in the XVIII century the castle changes the owner – Kenneth Bain sells it to his cousin Henry Davidson, and Davidson owned the castle until the mid-twentieth century. After the operation for the evacuation of allied troops from Dunkirk in the castle housed a military hospital, and in 1957, the local government bought the castle from the descendants of Davidsons. For some time there was a student dormitory, but soon the buildings needed major repairs. In 1996, the castle houses a hotel.

They say that the castle is haunted – guests and hotel employees have repeatedly seen the ghostly figure of a young girl and an elderly lady, and some were even able to capture ghosts on camera.

From the castle Tulloch to the ruins of the castle of Dingwall leads an underground passage. Now move collapsed, but you can look into it through the vent hole located in front of the castle. The castle is the family cemetery of Davidsons – for family members and Pets and animals. Now the cemetery is abandoned and overgrown, but some of the gravestones are still visible.
