Central Park of culture and rest in Volgograd, located between the Central municipal stadium and the bridge, on the Bank of the Volga river.

The history of the Park begins with the 60-ies of the XXth century, when the Central part of Volgograd began active construction. The first draft of the Volgograd Park was created in 1967 It several times changed and corrected, and eventually the project was approved. The landscaping of the Park area began in 1977, there was electricity and water. In the 1980s there were equipped with a dance floor, cafe, operated over 20 different rides, 16 of them were mechanical. And 2 of the attraction of special complexity: "a Ferris Wheel and carousel "Orbit".

The total area of the Park of culture and rest is 29 ha. On its territory there are 10 thousand different species of trees. The length of the alleys of the Park more than 6 km

In the last decade, unfortunately, the territory of the Volgograd Central Park fell into disrepair. Therefore, in April 2013, during his official visit to the city of Volgograd Azerbaijani delegation, it was decided to create in the city Park new, modern fleet under the name "Baku".
