In the Leningrad region in Vsevolzhsk, on the Road of life is an Orthodox Church of the Vernicle. Building – type tent, with an octagonal main hall. Wall with Lancet Windows are made of bricks. Above the temple – hip roof. The building has elements of the Gothic, which gives it an aura of romance. Under the temple there was a family vault Vsevolozhsky, which after the revolution had destroyed. There from the Church hall there are stairs located on the South side of the building. Now there is a small Church, dedicated to St. Vsevolod, is the patron Saint of the city.

The Church was erected in August, 1901, by order of Princess Elena Vasilievna Vsevolozhsky on the grave of her husband Paul Alexandrovich.

The construction of the temple was a dream state Councilor, Marshal of the nobility of Prince Paul Vsevolozhsky, who died on the day of the Vernicle. In March 1899 his wife, Elena, asked and received the blessing of Metropolitan of St. Petersburg and Ladoga on the construction over the grave of spouse in the temple. The consecration of the Church took place in August 1901 Worship here were only on major holidays, Saturday and Sunday.

After the consecration of the Church by its rector was Peter Fursov. Then about five years there, he served Vasily Klimov. Before the revolution of 1917 the rector was Alexander Loginsky. In the early 1920s in his place came the Abbot Selafiil, and from 1922 to 1928, the service was led by father Julian. Before closing in 1931, the rector of the Church was father John.

The last descendants of the princely family Vsevolozhsky more diligently supported the temple. Until 1917, the Prince Vsevolozhsky V. P. was the permanent Church warden, who cared about the temple. After the events of February 1917 he was arrested. The lost temple of permanent financial assistance.

In 1930 in the temple made the last Episcopal service. In the Church came fewer and fewer parishioners. In October of the next year it was closed. Church plate and bells were taken to Leningrad, the tomb was opened. After that in the Church there was a grain warehouse, and later the school of lieutenants in the war – club, in the postwar period – the fuel depot. In the 1960-ies the Church was abandoned.

In 1988, the dilapidated building of the temple wanted to pass on to tenants under cafe, but defended his believers. Organized a community whose purpose was the revival of spiritual life in the city and the temple.

First, after years of silent service in Vsevolozhsk the Church took place in 1989. Then the Abbot appointed Archpriest Igor Scopata, who made an enormous contribution to the revival of the temple. The community began restoration work, which lasted until 1991. Then in November we had the dedication of the temple, which was dedicated to the 50th anniversary of the opening of the Road of life. The restoration was designed by architect V. E. Zhukov. Factory "Russian diesel" produced the belfry, one of the bells cast in 1900, was donated to the congregation and the temple commander of the Leningrad wonokromo V. F. Ermakov.

In the Church there is a memorial plaque dedicated to the people of Leningrad and the defenders of the city who died on the Road of life.

In 2003, the Abbot became Archpriest father Roman Gutu. Thanks to his efforts, built a new chapel, the congregation began to make pilgrimages.

Currently the work of the Church is fully restored, there is regular service, have Sunday school, often held spiritual discussions, become a tradition of the pilgrimage, is the charitable help to children's rehabilitation center and the center of retirees.

The Church is located at Rumbauskas mountain, on the highest point of Vsevolozhsk.
