The Glory hill rises close to the Darsan hill where the cable car can be reached from Yalta embankment. On top of a hill in 1967, was created magnificent memorial. The opening of this complex was planned for the 50th anniversary of the 1917 revolution. Here immortalized feat many heroes of the civil war, the great Patriotic war. The names of these brave people is closely connected with the history of Yalta.
The memorial is a large white ring, made of reinforced concrete and finished with a decorative white Inkerman stone. On the back side of the ring are engraved silhouettes of soldiers-heroes of the Soviet Army, partisans, underground fighters, the black sea sailors. In the centre of the memorial is the Eternal flame. The authors of the monument are the architects V. A. Stepanov, V. A. of St. Petersburg, A. A. Popov. It should also be noted that rising to the top of the Hill of Fame, you can admire scenic views of Yalta and the surrounding area.
In 1973, at the base of the stairs that leads to the top of the hill, was assigned to the stele, its author was the architect P. A. Starikov. A granite stele subsequently became part of the memorial complex on the Hill of Glory. Granite inscribed with the names of all those who heroically fought for the Soviet power during the civil war in Crimea. Among them are such well-known figures of the revolution, M. V. Frunze, D. I. Ulyanov, Y. Y. Tarwacki, V. K. Blucher, the Chairman of the Gurzuf of the revolutionary Committee of I. I. Podvoisky. On this memorial commemorated the names of the revolutionaries. O. Bronstein and A. Drazhinsky, brutally tortured by the whites in 1920, Not forgotten, and the names of political prisoners N. M. Sosnowski, who headed the revolutionary Committee of the Yalta in 1919, the Chairman of the revolutionary Committee of the Yalta underground P. M. Oslo.
The inscription "the black sea Sailors", "Soldiers of the Soviet Army and Partisans and underground fighters" engraved next to the silhouettes of the soldiers inside the memorial serve as a reminder of resilience, generosity, courage and sacrifice of the heroes of the wars.
