A small inconspicuous Church with peeling plaster on the walls is actually a respected city temple, consecrated by the name of St. Adalbert. It has a rich history, as it is located in the Holy place. Here before its construction there was a wooden Church. It was built in 1771 as compensation to the city for the destruction caused by the Seven years war. It was then acquired the bell, which is properly convened residents to the service.

The wooden Church of St. Adalbert was not lasting, suffered from rain and scorching sun, were gradually destroyed, causing many unpleasant minutes parishioners who feared its collapse. So it was decided to demolish and erect here a stone Church, whose construction started in 1832. Funds for the new Church was provided by K. K. clam-Gallas. The architect was chosen F. Effenberger. Originally in the wall near the entrance were mounted two cannon balls as a reminder of that recently experienced the war, but during the reconstruction 1880 kernels have been removed. Then installed a new organ and altar.

Funds for the repair of the Church was allocated a Church community. However, during the First world war was to repair, so the Church of St. vojtěch no one was watching. In the middle of the twentieth century, too, nobody seemed to care little Church on the road leading to the ostashev. Only in 2008, the city recovered and was taken under the care of this temple. Were replaced Windows, repaired the roof and installed the curbs in front of the entrance, which prevented the penetration of rain water inside.

In the Church hosts concerts and theatrical performances, which can optionally be visited.
