Boksitogorsk center for the history and culture of the native land is in the city of Boksitogorsk on Sovetskaya street, 6. The center opened in 1997, so it has been for 15 years to please the many inhabitants of the city and more new exhibits. After the decision on opening of the Museum needed to take care of its location. The Department of culture gave the decision to place a cultural center in the building previously existing kindergarten building which was built in 1947. Previously the building underwent extensive repair and restoration work, which resulted in two of the four existing halls have been renovated and prepared for exhibition space. In the center of history and culture operates and presents to visit three exhibition halls.
