One of the cities of the Greco-Roman Decapolis was substantially destroyed by the Turks. Now in addition, what was left of the ancient city, before the eyes of visitors is available yet and the restored residence of a Turkish Governor, the Archaeological Museum, from the hills of Gadara, offers stunning views of the Northern part of the Jordan valley, lake Tiberias (sea of Galilee) in Israel, the border Yarmouk river, the Golan heights and snow-covered top of mount Hermon (Jabal Sheikh). The Abil lies to the North-East of Umm Qais and is famous for its Roman temples, Byzantine churches and mosques located right in the midst of olive groves. I can add description
