The Friedrichsbad Bathhouse Photo: The Friedrichsbad Bathhouse

The Roman-Irish baths built in 1877 on the initiative of Duke Frederick I (Grand Duke of Baden from 1856 to 1907). The building, built in the Renaissance style, looks like a magnificent Palace and is considered the most beautiful thermal baths in the world. Interior richly decorated with stucco, frescoes and beautiful sculptures in some of the rooms tile flooring and walls hand-painted.

The water temperature in the springs that supply the pool with mineral water, ranges 56-67 degrees. Full cycle of thermal treatments consists of 17 stages and includes: sauna, steam bath, massage shower, hot and cold baths, soap-brush massage and much more. During the first 8 stages of the air and water temperature gradually increases and subsequent declines. The thermal complex improves immunity, relieves fatigue and stress, heals the nervous system, has beneficial effects on overall body. You will be asked to visit mud treatments, acupuncture, various massages, indicated for the treatment of many diseases.

On Sundays and public holidays, and on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Fridays swimming in the Friedrichsbad joint, and in other days, men and women bathe separately and can be found only in the Central part of the baths, the so-called "domed hall". This is one of the most beautiful places in the complex (it is said that the contemplation of beautiful frescoes that adorn the dome, heals the soul and the body).
