Memorial the world war II Museum has a rich exhibition dedicated to this major event of modern history. Most of the exhibits tells the story of the battles of 1940 and the German occupation in 1940-45, the Museum exhibits tell of the struggle at sea, land and air, participating in the battles of countries – England, France, Poland, Germany and Norway.

In the Museum you will see photographs, weapons, uniforms and other military items, including encryption machine of the German Navy. Most of the exhibits are in Norwegian, but the Memorial Museum also has descriptions in English.

2-3 hours visiting the Museum, you follow the fate of Narvik during the war: from the first days of the occupation until liberation and return of Norwegian sovereignty of the city in 1945.
