Ilica – the name of the Central street of Zagreb, capital of Croatia. Free Wi-Fi is full of shops, cafes and restaurants, and cultural centers. On this street the Croatian capital property is considered to be the most expensive.
Ilica is located in the Lower town of Zagreb. The length of this street, about 6, about 4 kilometers, making it the third longest in Zagreb. Ilica passes through the Western part of the capital from West to East. In its beginning is the square of ban Jelacic, then it passes through Chernomorets and ends the Bologna metro station.
Previously called Ilica Loncarski expensive (in Croatian it means "pottery road"). The modern name of the street was given in honor of Ilica Creek, near which lived the master-potters. On the banks of the Creek clay was extracted, which was used in manufacturing ceramic products. Near the Church of St Margaret, located on the edge of the Ilıca, in the middle ages was located in the center of the Lower city.
