Merchant's manor complex, stretching along the two main streets of the old Balakovo, once belonged to the richest man in town - Anisia M. Maltsev. Closely adjacent to each other at home in the form of the letter "G" were built in the mid-nineteenth century.
The estate began to build even Mikhail Trofimovich Maltsev (the father of the last owner) - the owner sellotaping plant and later khlebpromservis-millionaire who left his sons a decent capital and profitable production. The construction of the estate began with a corner single-storey red brick houses, to which was then added the rest of the building. Architectural line of the estate on one side completes this spacious coach house, and on the other side of the garden, fenced openwork wrought-iron fence. The two-storey building of the coach house with a loft in the form of a turret with a weather vane and forged "candlesticks" with pins above each door are not associated with its purpose outbuildings. This coach house is more similar to the old provincial hotel. On the attic of the building is the figure of 1891 - probably, it is the latest build of the estate Maltsev. Luxury, which contained a rare breed of horses, due to the passion of Anisim Mikhailovich to the trotters Kyrgyz breed, noted for endurance and speed. Maltsev was one of the famous breeders of horses in Samara and Saratov provinces.
On the pillars of the fence manor garden has survived long enough pins, designed for massive pots, once decorated one of the facades of the estate. In Soviet times, gorgeous gazebo with cupola was broken, the trees cut down and the garden went to the dance floor. Nowadays, the manor, having lost its former glory and retains many architectural features: the pediments over the Windows, low semicircles rare attics and unpretentious separating floors cornice.
