The German Museum of history is housed in the former Arsenal, built in the Baroque style in 1706. In the courtyard are the famous "Masks of dying warriors is a masterpiece of Baroque art sculptor Andreas Schluter.

The Arsenal building was used in the Hohenzollern as the "Hall of fame" of the Prussian state, and since 1952 it is a Museum of German history from the mid-seventeenth century to the present day.
