Pakoštane is a tiny tourist town in Croatia, belongs to the Zadar County. It is home to more than four thousand inhabitants, most of whom are Croats.

The village's location is unique – on the one side it is washed by the waves of the Adriatic sea, and rises to it Vransko lake, which is just six kilometers. To territorial reorganization in Croatia Pakoštane was a large part of the municipality of Biograd na Moru. Beautiful surroundings Pakoštane are four parks on a national scale and two of the natural Park.

The history of this village has its roots in antiquity, when its place was a Roman settlement. Today it is one of the most beautiful tourist destinations in Croatia.

In Pakoštane is a school for the preparation of professional majorettes girls participating in parades. The school was opened in 1996, since then the students have participated in competitions and festivals. Pakistanske majorettes wear marine uniforms, in addition, they are holding Golden rods, and it is the only European dancers, equipped in this way.

The city has several historic churches. Near Pakoštane are three small islets, which the locals call "Faith", "Hope", "Love".
