Village Opocensky Posad is located above the picturesque Borovich thresholds. The status of "Posada" it was granted in 1820, at the same time there was established the self-governing body. In the history of the water system Posad played a significant role. The water system was created through the initiative of Peter the Great, she was proud of vodahost". At the end of the XVIII century, this waterway was considered one of the most significant hydraulic systems in Europe. In a short time he missed a large number of ships with a variety of heavy loads.

The creation of this system is inextricably linked with the construction of the city of St. Petersburg. In Posada was built and equipped a good Marina. Before our time has preserved the stone embankment of boulders, and its magnitude suggests a significant contribution, which has made Opocensky Posad in the Russian economy. Dam many reservoirs on river tributaries were opened, and thus the level passage for vessels was raised. By this time in Posada gathered many Baroque (about 1500). Next was the bell tower of three storeys with a spire. The belfry was decorated with chimes. Assumption Church was closed by the Bolsheviks in 1937, the Building was rebuilt, it was the shop knitting factory, the bell was removed and smashed, and the bell tower was dismantled on the bricks in the 40-ies.
