Catholic cemetery in Brest at the moment is located almost in the Central part of the city. Once, in the nineteenth century the land for the cemetery for the burial of Catholics was highlighted by the authorities on the border of the city, not to interfere with urban areas. Over time the city has grown, and some of the graves have been demolished, and in their place now built a house. Currently the total area of the cemetery 1, 8 hectares. There are about 3 thousand graves.

The official name of the cemetery is a Catholic, however, in Brest, it is called Polish. A large part of the cemetery graves, tombs, crypts belongs to the poles.

In one of the old graves buried the Polish pilot. This tomb has become an urban legend. Old residents of the city say that here is buried the Polish pilots flying to Prague and wanted to set a new record for the longest flight, but their plane was caught in a terrible Boria and crashed. Over the grave was erected a monument in the form of a plane screw. Over time, decayed wood screw and now no one knows where the tomb fearless pilots.

The Catholic cemetery is buried the Polish tankers. Their graves are well known. Crosses made out of tank tracks and other parts of the tank that was on fire along with sitting inside a tank.

In the cemetery you can find the famous aristocratic surname, here is buried the famous doctors, Catholic priests. There is also a mass grave of Polish soldiers. It is dated to 1920.

The oldest Catholic cemetery tombstone found by historians, referred to 1835. There are crypts, statues of angels, virgin Mary and Christ.

Unfortunately, the cemetery is neglected and if the city authorities do not take measures, soon he'll ruin it.
