A symbol of Chuvashia is the monument "Mother-Patroness", located in the historic city of Cheboksary. In the complex, located in the ancient hill on the West side of the Cheboksary Bay, is a sculptural composition of granite, copper and marble, as well as "singing" fountains installed in the Bay of the river Volga.

The sculpture depicts a female chubasco in a national costume with outstretched towards his hands, indicating the gesture of hugs, blessings and protection. The inscription on the plate of the pedestal is made in two languages: "Blessed are my children, living in peace and love." The author of the idea of this Grand building became the President of Chuvashia Nikolai Fedorov, and embodied the idea sculptor Vladimir Nagornov in collaboration with A. Trofimov, V. Filatov, Y. Novoselov and A. Oreshnikov. The monument, opened the ninth of may 2003, is the highest sculpture in Chuvashia, its height is 46 meters and weight more than fourteen tons.

For the erection of a symbol of the revival of spiritual values in the region was not accidentally chosen the image of the mother. According to the ethnologist G. B. Matveev: "in Chuvashia the pride of the nation is Chuvash woman is the guide and the bearer of ethno-cultural values." At a close distance can be considered ornamental headbands with fringe, a necklace on the chest and the suspension of the coins on the headdress. The pedestal is tied with a wide ribbon with traditional design elements - stars, symbolizing fire.
