This market is one of the most famous and ancient in Tunisia. It occupies a large area, which during the day is almost impossible to circumvent. Therefore, the entire QMS is divided into so-called blocks or streets, each of which sells your type of product. Besides original ceramic products that can be found in every market of the East, in Suk El Juma is famed perfumes, bright fabrics, clothing, leather goods and, of course, all that is required for cooking spices, fresh fruits and vegetables, dried herbs, traditional sweets and dates, which are especially delicious.

Nabeul, located 10 km North from the town of Hammamet, from the XVI century was one of the most famous cities producing ceramics in Tunisia. Until that time, the city was no different from other small towns, living a normal life, but in the XVI century on a promontory residents of Bon Nabeul found layers of high-quality clay. Since then, the production of ceramics is one of the most developed sectors in Tunisia.

The Souk El Juma presented all kinds of pottery masters. You can choose any color - be it white, green, yellow, or blue, any receptacle or container — vase, plate, dish pilaf or just a clay souvenir friends. The painting styles may also be different, but the basic is the Punic-Roman and Arabic styles, and sometimes Andalusia.

But pottery can be admired not only on the market. Walking around the city, you will see that many of the houses are decorated with tiles, and even sidewalks.
