Chisinau Botanical garden – one of the main attractions of the city Chisinau, a favorite place of recreation for residents and visitors alike. The Botanical garden was founded in 1950 on the basis of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, and was located on the outskirts of the city occupied the territory of 76 ha). In 1964 it was decided the planning and construction of a new garden in the area of Botany.

Modern Botanical garden covers an area of 104 hectares, and is divided into several sectors arboretum, where the trees, shrubs - typical representatives of the flora of Moldavia, the sector of floriculture, tropical and subtropical plants, etc. Most of the area allocated to the experimental plot and the sector hybridization.

After the last reconstruction of the Park, there appeared a beautiful rock garden, rose garden, molding garden, iridary, pioneri and other sections. Today in Chisinau Botanical garden there are about 10 thousand varieties of vegetation, created one of the most solid herbarium – national herbarium, which has 200 thousand sheets, we are constantly working on creating valuable populations of hybrids of walnut and grapes.

Especially beautiful Botanical garden during the flowering of the pink Magnolia (late April - early may) and during flowering Japanese cherry trees. The number of visitors at this time increases several times.
