National Park "the Reefs of Cozumel" was established by order of President Ernesto Zedillo Ponce de Leo on July 19, 1996. The Park covers an area stretching 20 kilometers. The climate here is subtropical, the average daily air temperature on the coast +26-28 degrees and the water is about 25 degrees. The Park is located on the island of Cozumel, reef system which is famous worldwide and is part of the Mesoamerican Barrier Reef is the second largest reef system in the world.
