The center for the breeding of the Philippine eagle, located in the district of Malagos in Davao city, is a Paradise for these birds of prey and other animals representing an incredibly diverse forest ecosystems of the Philippines. Each year the number of visitors to the centre increases, which is understandable, because here, in the heart of the industrial district, you can see the real wilderness.

Initially, the center was conceived as demonstrations of the Philippine eagles are exceptionally beautiful and charming birds, the symbol of the country. However, over time it has become one of the most popular tourist spots in Davao city. Today there are 36 species of Philippine eagles and other animals, including a variety of reptiles, mammals and, of course, birds, typical of the Philippines. Among the inhabitants of the center – hawks, falcons, monkeys, crocodiles, Asian Olenka, boars. And the most popular local "resident" is Pag-Asa, the first Philippine eagle bred in captivity.

Center is a division of the Foundation for the preservation of the Philippine eagle, which implements various research and environmental education projects. Thanks to the Foundation center, every visitor can learn about the lives of these amazing birds in the wild and what is being done to save them. Hosts regular lectures on various aspects of life eagles – their feeding, protection from poachers, the removal of offspring, etc. Frequent visitors are school groups and students who are preparing a special presentation on field research programmes of the Fund. And every visitor of the centre can take part in a real falconry!

In the center is an interesting program, 100 thousand Philippine pesos a year, you can "adopt" a very real Philippine eagle! The money will go to keeping poultry. On the territory of the center there is a stand with the names of those who have provided such support.

The center for the breeding of the Philippine eagle is an hour's drive South from downtown Davao city towards the town of Digos. Next to it there are plenty of souvenir stalls where you can buy t-shirts with the image of an eagle or other similar items. And the center, surrounded by huge trees and flower beds, is the ideal place to relax.
