Dnepropetrovsk Musical-Drama theatre. Shevchenko is a monument of architecture of national value. Entertaining is the fact that the building was built by architects C. F. Boatsales and D. N. Petrovecki in the form of a theatre and concert hall to the then existing English club. And the birth of the Ukrainian Musical-Drama theatre happened in 1918 in the city of Kiev as the first professional Ukrainian theater, which received the title of State drama theatre. In Dnepropetrovsk theatre has been growing only in 1927, after nine years of successful tours around the cities of Ukraine.

The seventies of the 20th century were marked for theatre upgrade and improve its exterior. Adjacent to the theater building adjacent houses were demolished, resulting in the exposure of the first built-up facade.
