Palace and Park complex of the valovich noblemen is Svyatsk. A Palace for the family of the valovich was built by the famous Italian architect Giuseppe Sacco in 1779.
Unique masterpieces of Giuseppe Sacco successfully combine the features of Baroque and classicism. The Palace was built in near Augustow canal, in an area abounding with water: canals, rivers, ponds. The landscape Park successfully combines the terrain and magnificent building of the Palace.
The Central building is connected to the wings semicircular galleries. In the Central building is an octagonal hall and wide marble three-flight staircase. On the sides built offices and small rooms. Partially preserved magnificent interiors, combining moldings, statues, niches and paintings of the XVIII century. All interior decoration was supervised by the architect Giuseppe Sacco so it blends seamlessly with the architecture of the Palace complex. The Park is a functioning Catholic chapel-tomb the valovich.
Unfortunately, at the moment the Palace of the valovich is in poor condition. In the Soviet time there were located a sanatorium for rehabilitation of tuberculars. After its closure the building was abandoned.
In the castle the valovich inhabits its own Ghost. There was once a family drama played out. The noble father of the family of the valovich grew a beautiful daughter, who fell in love with a young groom, who from childhood grew up next to her. The young lovers were caught off guard. Insulted, furious, the father gave orders to drown the guy and his own daughter immured alive in the wall of the castle. Now walks through the castle and groaning Ghost girl, looking for your lover and can't find him. Sometimes it touches the icy hands of careless visitor or splash icy gust of wind.
