In 1920 in Hammamet came a rich Romanian architect Georg Sebastian. He built an unusual Villa. It is decorated with cypress trees, the pool is surrounded by columns, and the bedrooms have antique mirrors and Roman baths. Here happened many celebrities Andre Gide and Maupassant, Flaubert and Georges Bernanos, Churchill and king George VI.

In the garden there is an amphitheater where the annual international festival of arts.
