Near Kaliningrad is one of the twelve major FORTS defensive ring of the city-fortress of Koenigsberg, named after the Prussian General Paul Bronsart. Fort No. 2 was built in the years 1875-1879 to cover highway Koenigsberg Tilsit and was part portobago belt "Night feather of Koenigsberg".
