The Church of the Annunciation - one of the oldest wooden churches of Ukraine, located in the suburbs of the city of Kosovo, in the village of Old CBS.

The Church of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin Mary was founded in the village Verbeet somewhere in the end of XVI century, but not until 1579. At that time there was not a separate verbovets village, it was listed as a village Koshev and town Koshev, which was listed as one priest.

In 1699 the place that has long been consecrated the local priest - father Nicaraqua, was built a new Church. The newly built temple had three domes and was sheathed with shingles. The auditor 1745 noted: "the Church of the Annunciation of the blessed virgin Mary, though old, but has not the bad kind that really requires a roof repair that has already been allocated eight thousand shingles that were purchased in Wallachia".

In 1850, the inhabitants of the two villages of Old CBS and Verbovets joint efforts of the whole community raised the money and hired masters I. Labruce, who with the help of residents, as well as under the guidance of a priest I. Valaskova during the year the temple was built. In 1853, was erected the new Church.

Today the Church of the Annunciation almost completely covered with tin, which does not allow to fully appreciate the skill of the architects.
