State nature landscape reserve of regional importance "Cheremenetsky" was formed in the 76th year of the twentieth century. Is located on the territory of the Luga district of the Leningrad region, 8 km in a South-easterly direction from the town meadows. To reserve, you can reach through a Meadow, then along the road towards the villages Navolok or Gorodets and Agostini to the border of the reserve. The zakaznik "Cheremenetsky is 7100 hectares, including the waters of the lakes, an area of 3500 hectares.

The purpose of creation of reserve "Cheremenetsky" is the preservation of the ancient pre-glacial lakes with surrounding coniferous and deciduous forests, natural complexes 2 large key lakes: Caramanico and Bravo. For the territory of the reserve is typical of investment attractiveness, which is expressed in term of the organization of family leisure, sports and recreational fishing, eco-tourism.

Both lakes are elongated in the meridional direction: Caramanico – 13 kilometers, Bravo – 15. Most of the coastal area is occupied by agricultural lands. Around lake Bravo birch grows with oaks and some fragments of coniferous and oak forests. The Northern region of lake Caramenico surrounded by a dense forest consisting of spruce and oak, with wild ginger, hazel, prelesnik, the ground. The North-Eastern shore of the lake covered an array elm woods with the ground, while the Northern part of the refuge – pine and spruce forests blueberry.

The fauna of the reserve is largely represented by species of southern origin. For lakes coastal zone is characterised by the occurrence of lake frog. It is also known, crested newt, sand lizard. Here are the nests of the black kite, white stork, Kestrel, hen Harrier, quail, moorhens, stock dove, coots, rollers, Kingfisher, hoopoe, great reed Warbler, nuthatch. Of mammals inhabit brown hare, hedgehog, boar, garden Dormouse. Periodically on-site meets deer. In the lake of Bravo lives Volos Yuzhny – glacial-relict marine crustacean. In both lakes, pike, bream, burbot, roach, perch, IDE, in the lake Caramanico – trout.

In the reserve you can see the old manors with parks and Cheremenetsky the theologian monastery.

The main protected objects of the reserve are areas of broad-leaved primarily coniferous-deciduous and is younger than forests, rare species of plants and animals: crested newt, marsh frog, snake, stock dove, white stork, garden Dormouse, green woodpecker, ROE deer, Volos Yuzhny cross gentian, Peconic conpletely, palakorn Baltic, the chamber open.

The reserve "Cheremenetsky" forbidden: the use of pesticides and chemicals for treatment of forests and agricultural lands in the water protection zone, all kinds of hydraulic engineering and land reclamation, the removal of soil from the bottom of lakes; fires on the territory of forests and start burning; fishing nets in lakes, the use of small motorized watercraft on the waters of the lakes; development of mineral resources; the emission of untreated sewage into water bodies and watercourses that flow into them; travel, Parking and car washing out roads and abroad in designated Parking areas; waste disposal.
