The Maritime Museum is the pride of Kotor, it presents the rich Maritime history of the coast of the Black sea and Boko-Cocoreccho Bay. There is a Museum in a historic building that formerly (in the eighteenth century) was Gargulinski Palace. He belonged to the family Grgurina, which was very famous here. The architecture of the building belongs to the late Baroque.

The front door to the Museum offer visitors a look at the two weapons of the eighteenth century – they relate to the period when the city was actively attacked by the pirates. In the Museum you can also see the 6 engravings, made of bronze and illustrating the greatest historical events. Among these events: the siege of the Algerian Bay Kair-ed-DIN, which was carried out not without the help of Selim, Emperor of the Turks (also known as Barbarossa, or Red beard").

In addition to historical exhibits, the Museum can be seen the ship's logs, to see models of different ships and all kinds of sailing boats.
